Quartz Flooring North America designs, manufactures, sells and distributes quartz-based resilient vinyl tile and sheet flooring in North America and Asia for commercial, institutional and industrial applications.

Our business is located in Chicago and Shanghai. Our product history spans almost 50 years, beginning in Norway in 1952 when Reiber and Tarkett first developed quartz flooring as an alternative to vinyl asbestos tile and carbonites and sold it under the brand name Rikett. The Rikett companies then designed and manufactured equipment to make the new product, selling their machines throughout the world.

In 2001, the Rikett technology was acquired, a new company was formed in the U.S. (later named Knight Quartz Flooring or KQF), and KQF became the first manufacturer of quartz flooring in North America. In 2008, KQF investors partnered to found Knight Performance Flooring in China (KPF) to make product for the China and exports markets. KQF's U.S. operations ceased in 2009, but KPF's China operations continued unaffected by the discontinuance of the U.S. company. KPF has installed over 10 million square feet of Rikett brand tile and sheet products in Asia.

In 2010, Quartz Flooring North America was formed by several U.S. investors who owned KPF China. QFNA enjoys the sole and exclusive right to sell and distribute KPF products in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. QFNA sells primarily through independent sales representatives, most of whom previously sold the same premium quality product for KQF.
